 Q: I have dry skin...can I avoid using sunscreen?

A: Short answer...NO. It doesn’t matter if you have combination, oily or dry skin, you have to use sunscreen everyday. That being said, we understand where you are coming from. Most drugstore sunscreens are either extremely drying or unsuitable for dry skin. Even though it may seem impossible to believe right now, we assure you that there is a sunscreen out there for everyone.

Q: So which sunscreen should I use for my dry skin?

A: Ah! We thought you’d never ask.
If you have dry skin, your skincare routine should include products that will hydrate your skin rather than stripping it of moisture and this includes your sunscreen. So if you have skin that is on the drier side, let us introduce you to our Resting Beach Face SPF 30 Sunscreen. This product is packed with humectants like Hyaluronic Acid that will keep your skin hydrated and give it the glow you dream of while protecting your skin from the wrath of the sun.

Q: Uhhh..What is a Humectant?

A: Good question!
Humectants are the go-to ingredients in skincare to manage dry skin and maintain moisture levels. Humectants are akin to magnets. They draw water to the surface of your skin from the environment and also from lower layers of your dermis and then lock in this moisture on the surface of your skin.

Hyaluronic acid is a kind of humectant; it is a kind of sugar that is organically present in our bodies. Its ability to attract and lock in the moisture is key to hydrated, glowing and healthy skin. Our Resting Beach Face Sunscreen's fast-absorbing serum-like formula works wonders with the Hyaluronic acid, this product will soon become your dry skin’s next best friend.

Q: Is the Hyaluronic Acid going to clash with other ingredients?

A: Absolutely not! Not only does Hyaluronic Acid prevent trans-epidermal water loss, it can also be paired with almost any other ingredient. As long as your skin care doesn’t include a low pH acid like glycolic acid, you’re good to go. However, if glycolic acid is  part of your skincare routine, you don’t have to completely get rid of it. Simply move it to your PM routine and continue using our Resting Beach Face sunscreen for your dry skin during the AM routing.

Q: If my skin is not dry anymore, can I still use the Resting Beach Face Sunscreen?

A: Oui, Si and YES! The best part about this sunscreen is that while it is the best sunscreen you can find for dry skin, it is suitable for all skin types. The serum-like consistency makes it easy for you to layer this sunscreen on the rest of your products or even your make up for reapplication. It’ll give you a dewy finish but never a greasy finish.

It really doesn’t get any better than this! Zero white cast, lightweight texture, loaded with antioxidants, broad-spectrum protection, vegan, fragrance-free, cruelty- free, sustainably made, anti-pollution and anti-blue light. Now doesn’t that sound like a dream?
